[Movies] Update On Who Will Direct Conan Posted by Ashish on 02.09.2008
Latest on Conan...
With Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer about to start a new script for Conan, work has begun to find a director.
Xavier Gens (Hitman) is one of the names being considered. Rob Zombie (Halloween) and Neil Marshall (The Descent) are also being considered. No director will be officially hired until after the script is complete.
Either one of those would be awesome choices. Zombie's a really good director, it's his scriptwork that's not very good and since he's not doing the script it would be great.

I'd rather see Uwe Boll direct Conan than Rob Zombie. He's decent, but I can't see him getting the true feel for Conan like he does with his horror films.

Uwe Boll has enough on his plate (I want him focusing his energies on Farcry. That intellectual material has po-tent-chull!
Hold off for a year, then let George Bush direct it.

I hope you're kidding about Uwe Boll...he shouldn't be allowed to direct a Public Service Announcement about deplorable films.

When this project was rumored a year or so ago, Triple H from the WWE was rumored to be in talks for the role. I'm DEFINATELY not one for wrestler "actors" bit something tells me he'd do the role justice.

Rob Zombie can't make a good movie if his life depended on it.
